Hi, I’m Giulia!

Based in Milan, I’m an Italian audiovisual translator, subtitler and dialogue adapter, working from English, German, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese into Italian.

I specialise in translating and adapting scripts for film and television, including lip-sync, voice-over and subtitling. My goal is always the same: to preserve the meaning, tone, rhythm and personality of the original while creating dialogue that feels natural, authentic and effortless in Italian.

My background in writing, acting and languages has shaped the way I approach every project. I pay close attention not only to what a character says, but also to how a line sounds, how it reflects their personality and how it works within the scene.

My work includes audiovisual projects released on major international platforms and broadcasters, including Netflix, Paramount+ and Mediaset.

To me, great audiovisual translation should never feel like translation. It should feel as though the story was meant to be told in Italian.
